Ayurvedic Treatment For Asthma & Respiratory Disorder

WHAT IS ASTHMA?

Asthma is a breathing problem that makes it more difficult for you to get air in and out of your lungs. When you breathe in (inhale), fresh air comes in through your nose. It passes down through tubes (called bronchi) to your lungs. When you breathe out (exhale), stale air from your lungs is breathed out through the same tubes.

When a person has asthma, the breathing tubes are sensitive. They may react to smoke, pollen, dust, air pollution, allergies, or other triggers. In a person with asthma, the breathing tubes may tighten, becoming inflamed and swollen.

Although asthma is very common, it is not well understood. Today, treatments for asthma are more effective and easier to tolerate than ever. In the next 10 years, it is holped that advaces in medical research will lead to even better treatments. This site is designed to help you learn about asthma, its causes, and its treatment.

CAUSE OF POSTURE AND RESPIRATORY DISORDER.

Poor posture is one of the causes in respiratory disorders like in Asthmatics. In some cases, physical weakness caused one to slump over in a permanent round- shouldered position. This puts many breathe disruptions. Energy does not flow smoothly or evenly. Before good health can be restored, these basic deformities need to be addressed and function restored so that prana can begin to flow. Fortunately, the poor posture is easily corrected by Yoga Therapy.

THE ROLE OF SPINAL CORD IN RESPIRATORY DISORDER.

The spinal cord carries vital information along its millions of nerve pathways. It is dependent on a supple spine for good nutrition and flexibility to allow nerves emerging from it to have a clear and free access to facilitate conduction. In HUNCHED POSITION flow of prana along the spine is restricted so that information is often not carried accurately.

NASAL FACTORS IN RESPIRATORY DISORDER.

Nasal passages are part of the same respiratory system as the lungs and are equally subject to conditions of imbalance present in respiratory system. In particular, nasal congestion is a common occurrence in the case of respiratory disorder. Many Asthmatic patients breathe through their mouth. In this way they do not allow the air to be warmed by copious blood supply of the nose, nor to be cleaned of dust and foreign particles by the hair in the nostrils.

PHYCHOSOMATIC AND RESPIRATORY DISORDER.

The cause of respiratory disorder like asthma is a combination of many factors, including and immunological reaction and over stimulation of the parasympathetic nerve fibers to the lungs, which constricts the bronchial tubes. The parasympathetic nerve originates in an area of the brain called the hypothalamus, which is directly under the control of the higher emotional centers. Hence, emotional tension plays on the hypothalamus, which then sends stimuli down the parasympathetic nerve fiber, which can in turn trigger an asthma attack. Emotional stresses are surface reflection of deeper processes. For asthmatics patients, for peace of mind, strength and the ability to relax are most important .Ayurveda therapy and yoga mind therapy will help to overcome emotional stress.

ALERGY AND RHINITIS AND SINUSITIS.

An allergy is an unusual bodily chemical response to an ordinary simtimulus, which is harmless in similar amounts for most of the people. The allergic reaction results from the release of histamines and other chemicals in the body tissue, affecting one or more of the internal organs. Rhinitis is a reaction that occurs in the nose when airborne irritants (Allergens) trigger the release of histamine. Histamine caused inflammation and fluid production in fragile linings of nasal passages, sinuses and eyelids.

EMOTIONAL ANXIETY.

Strong emotions and nervous stress can trigger asthma in some people. This may be due, in part, to the ability of emotions and stress to weaken the body’s defenses.
